The UNC Asian American Center (AAC) celebrates its fifth birthday in 2025! The AAC is a center in the Office of the Provost, focused on academic and community engagement with Asian American studies, arts, and communities. We seek to be a home and a hub on campus for students for community, academics, and service. Key programs include a student project incubator, a collaborative oral history project, and the AAC Fellows program, the only such program of its kind in the nation, which brings national experts to collaborate, workshop, and present their work. The AAC offers events ranging from lectures to workshops and performances as well as incubating and supporting student-faculty projects and collaborative community work. Our programming is 100% donor-supported. We are so grateful for the support we have received over our first five years.
Students enjoy a wellness event hosted by the Asian American Center’s student team, which creates their own events and projects throughout the academic year.
