Captain Rebecca Lobach Memorial Fund
Captain Rebecca Marie Lobach, proud Durham native and 2019 distinguished ROTC graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, was an extraordinary student and soldier who tragically lost her life in the January 29th aerial collision in Washington, DC. She dedicated her life to serving others and her country, demonstrating exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to her values. The Captain Rebecca Lobach Memorial Endowment Fund honors her legacy by providing financial support to Army ROTC cadets in need. This fund ensures that future generations of leaders who embody Rebecca’s dedication to family, community, and service can thrive at Carolina and beyond, just as she did.

Center for Student Success
The Center for Student Success enables all Carolina students to develop the skills and strategies needed to prosper academically, socially and professionally while at Carolina and after graduation. The Center fosters equal access to success across student populations through several programs: Summer Bridge, the Writing and Learning Center, Carolina Firsts, Peer Mentoring and Transfer Student Services. To better serve students, the College is moving the Center to the House Undergraduate Library, increasing the Center’s space by 10,000 sq. ft.

The School of Civic Life and Leadership (SCiLL) is an interdisciplinary home specifically for the study and practice of public discourse, civic life, and civic leadership. The College of Arts and Sciences forms the academic core of the Carolina experience as the largest unit on campus.
