Join the Margaret Harper Society with a gift of $5,000 or more to the Arts and Sciences Fund. In 1975, Margaret Harper became the first donor to the Foundation with a gift of $1,000, the equivalent of about $5,000 today.

Thanks to members of the Arts and Sciences Foundation Board, when 500 donors make a gift to the Arts and Sciences Fund, an additional $100,000 will be unlocked for the College.

David Kaplan ’93, a Carolina Center for Jewish Studies advisory board member, will match all gifts to the Center dollar for dollar up to $10,000 today for GiveUNC.

Generous donors will give $500 for every $100 given to the Carolina Public Humanities Fund today, up to $25,000.

Honors Carolina

Generous Friends of Honors Carolina will give $50,000 when 50 gifts are made to the Friends of Honors Carolina fund today. Gifts of all sizes count!

Hark the sound(board)! Andrea ’87 and Bill Bates ’76, J.D. ’79 will match all gifts towards a new sound system for PlayMakers up to $50,000, which would put us at our $100,000 goal!

Young Alumni Challenge

A generous young alum, class of 2024, will give $10,000 to the Arts and Sciences Fund when 150 additional young alumni, classes of 2015-2024, make a gift today to any department, program or curriculum within the College. Go Heels!

Double your impact! Today only, all gifts to the Institute for the Arts and Humanities will be matched $2:1 up to $100,000, thanks to IAH Advisory Board Vice Chair Allen Moseley ’91 and Melissa Moseley.

Department of Political Science

Whit Ayres, M.A. ’77, Ph.D. ’79 will give $10,000 to support the Department of Political Science when 40 donors make a gift to the department today!

Department of Romance Studies

Sam ’22, Dena ’88, Chris and Ben Moore are giving $5,000 to the Department of Romance Studies. The Moore family hopes to encourage another 15 alumni, parents, and friends to join them with a gift to the department today!

The College of Arts and Sciences forms the academic core of the Carolina experience as the largest unit on campus. Our mission is to create knowledge and discover innovative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges, to educate outstanding undergraduate and graduate students, and to encourage faculty, staff and students to contribute meaningfully to North Carolina, the nation and the world.
